The other thing I don't get, ZBest Power, aka 百能汇通, is a Chinese company, developing ... guess what... zinc bromine flow batteries since 2011 (google the chinese words, first search result).
So you go to china, demo a 10 unit system, let *their* engineers, who's been developing their own batteries play with yours, build, test, work with your IP that you've spent millions and years developing, give them all the instructions to build one, teach them how to operate it. Then what...? Hope the Chinese say, "well that's just rad, we'll have 10 million of your units because we honor international patent laws and IP"???
They taught a competitor in the largest market in the world how to use their system and gave away the R&D for free.
What was the upside of this demo?
I mean... maybe it's so f**king obvious because I'm Chinese, but this had got to be the stupidest ( or perhaps most desperate ) attempt at survival for them. Please someone interpret this differently for me.
