    Raeban,
You can sit tight in CNP as long as you like, but there is very limited upside, relative to other companies on the stockmarket. Companies currently selling below cash asset backing with operating profitable businesses, represent better value than tighting for years on CNP.
Its about compounding your funds at the best rate. If CNP were to go to an extremely low level they may represent good value, but in the current climate only a fool would be recommending CNP as a value investment. Unfortunately, we don't always get every investment right, but we then shouldn't spend the next ten years trying to recover say 30% of our investment, while other opportunities would yield multiples of these returns.
The recent announcement regarding CNP has changed every shareholder's equity in CNP going forward, some may want to ignore it or pretend it hasn't happened but this announcement was a very significant announcement for CNP shareholders.
If no dilution, I would have been happy to sit in CNP & reap the rewards going forward i.e. capital growth & dividends.
    Regards
    Buffett
