was contemplating your previous post re epidemiology and specific risk factor differences between countries.
Just read report re Mexico, that says
75% Covid deaths due to poor health namely obesity, hypertension, which inturn is due to poor health care eg shortages of available treatments, insulin availability, including poor nutrition education.
therefore seems very likely that the overall "health of the nation" comes into play as does population age, density etc
ie one could argue that on average a US or Mexican citizen is less healthy than an Australian and hence we are seeing more covid deaths in those countries.
