@dolcevita, I sincerely hope you're right!
We need to be able to trust the FDA to dispassionately assess the safety and efficacy of drugs (and cells) - it is a cornerstone of our health system. And in the past, while not being perfect, it has done a great job.
With recent appointments by the Trump administration, and the intense pressure being applied by Dear Leader I am no longer sure that this is the case.
We know we can get approval based on our rigorous clinical trials - it would be a shame if this was tarnished by unproven treatments getting pushed through (I'm particularly concerned here about vaccines, there is enormous pressure on FDA to approve a vaccine before the end of the year, and that has dangers both from safety and efficacy viewpoints).
Not only a shame, but criminal if it unfairly erodes our markets.
