Firstly see if HC will let you change your nickname to something like (lose ron the market), otherwise pyschology will never let you be the trading guru that i know you can be :)))
In volatile markets you would have to be prepared for 10% slippage overnight. Now there are 2 ways of tackling that.
1. Be prepared to risk 10% of you capital
OR
2. Risk 3% of your capital account and 10% of the 3% on the trade.
I only tighten stops when it coming into an overbought situation or indicators turn south half way through a move. Having said that the key to stops is to get them into break even as quick as possible.
Share with me the day you were stop out and i might be able to offer a different approach.
