just a thought, what if traders didn't run to gold , but ran to the Euro[financial], or the AUD [commodity weighted] , or even the Ruble [energy]? A nice little carry trade forming, with the worlds reserve currency, and absorbing the inflationery effect of massive liquidity injection, which inturn eases the pressure of foreign debt?
Note , this is just nother 'way' to look at Forex behaviours, so is more a muse than a statement.
