Just received my first MQG dividend statement - $1.45 per share and most of it franked too. There is a comment on the statement "Macquarie Group Limited declares the whole of the unfranked amount to be conduit foreign income". My question is what does this mean? Should I disclose as dividend income or foreign income and do I p[ay the same tax rate on both?
