Until recently I worked for the biggest mining services (mining explosives) company in the world. 2 Tonnes of Anfo took out the Oklahoma building 7500 tonnes...While they are saying it's been there ten years and they rescued it from a sinking ship, the stuff can't be stored that long in shipping containers. Why it was kept in a civilian port I don't even want to hazard a guess the product could have easily been sold and or picked up from that port by the original shipping company or another it's a valuable commodity in certain mining sectors (mostly coal etc). The concern over the cause of the blast will most definitely have a short term impact on gold price if the markets hedging it's bets on something sinister. In the past it's run down just as fast from it's lift off too from memory.
