*K*I*T*C*O* had a recent article in which two knowledgeable commentators butted heads over what inflation meant.
There has been considerable inflation in the price of assets such as property and shares.even while CPI and wage increases have been relatively subdued. Inflation very much depends on how you define it. People have recognised that even the CPI appears to be manipulated because they encounter recurring price rises in their orinary activity that appears to be excess of the official figure.
