    CNP can't afford to do that.The lenders to CNP want to be paid back asap. Therefore they would want any CER asset to be cashed in if at all possible. In reality it is the lenders that really own CER and they want to be paid back. It is more likely that CER would have an SPP to get funds to buy out the CNP interest. As a holder of CER I'd be happy to buy out some of the CNP shares.
