Been on the phone with IG about this. I had to take a big gulp at the close when my stop had not been hit and was sitting up there with a sizeable loss.
Thankfully for me, they cancelled all trades in the last minute when it went bananas.
In their wisdom however they hit my stop 7 minutes after the reopen.
A bit hypocritical I thought that they would cancel any trades in the last minute and then trigger my stop which was also in the last minutes range too (and not within the opening range after 5). Jeez !
After some phone wrestling I managed to get my short on back at the level of my stop, so sitting about break even now... except for the 2 point spread they scooped up. GRRRrrr.. grumble, grumble.
Anyway, that about caps off a very merry mad year...
