A doctor needs evidence that a drug works on a disease before they can prescribe it in the first place. That evidence doesn't exist for HCQ on Covid. If they just start prescribing it on a hunch, even if it doesn't kill the first handful of patients, they are being criminally negligent.
Isn't "first, do no harm" the mantra? Not "let's give this unproven drug a go and see if you die".
