Hi Ralom. You are 100% right. Your thinking is sound IMO. I have been caught up in the hype of many companies over the years and learned, the hard way to take profits. I ended up sitting on a 600k profit on Solution 6 a few years ago and lost the lot; a 150k profit on AJX and eventually sold out at break even: or tens (or hundreds, sadly) of other stocks i could quote in a similar vein. Learning curve and I’m much more wary these days.

Having said that, (that) defensive mindset has also cost me a fair bit too. I am getting better at sorting the wheat from the chaff and One of the most important changes I have made to my investing is focussing on:

    1) companies delivering on their forecast forward statements (1 strike policy). ✅

    2) Quick, open and accurate responses to investor and ASX queries. ✅

    3) Sp momentum backed up by ‘real‘ sales achievements, and ignoring the fluctuations that are caused by shorts and manipulators ✅

    4) Using the collective intelligence of the Hot Copper forum to fill in the gaps in my own knowledge and taking note of the genuine contributors. I was slow on the uptake of the value of this and i believe it could have benefited greatly from this communal knowledge. They’re not always right about everything but there are a lot of smart people on this forum. (Yes there are a lot of twats, trolls, up-rampers, down-rampers but you can work that out for yourself and use it to your advantage).✅

    5) Buy NZ stocks. (Can expand on this but that would take another bottle of wine)! ✅

    6) Holding on to the stocks that are meeting these criteria when your ‘battle-scarred Brain’ is screaming at you to take profit. No tick for that one yet but I have resisted the urge so far and will hold NZS until such time as the company disappoints on any of the above.

Hopefully the upcoming announcement will meet all of our expectations. Thats a tough call and the short term speculators will take profit if is less than overwhelming. For me its a buy at the current share price and I guess we’ll all re-evaluate our valuations on Tuesday. Whatever happens I don’t expect this will be the final, or company-making deal of the year. Hoping it is just another ✅ in the box of a company thats putting down solid foundations.

Just my thoughts. DYOR. Trolls...find another stock to pick on...could give you a few pointers on that if you are short of targets
