That was an interesting article, very supportive of Magsense nanoparticles. Central to the discussion is the relationships between signal to noise, magnetic field strength, resolution and service cycle times. The development and adoption of lower field MRIs will drive IBX value far, far, more quickly than commercialising a Magsense scanner. The Magsense nanoparticles significantly extends the value of lower field MRIs: higher signal to noise, lower field strength, higher resolution and lower cycle times.

Why create a new printer when there are already many. All IBX needs to do is make different types of "inks". For the last 20 years the efforts of Edward Flynn, Dale Huber and the University of New Mexico collaborators have been weighted towards the nanoparticles. My guess is that IBX will continue to focus on developing the bio-compatible coating and functionlisation of nanoparticles. This is IBX core strength, the trade secret, and where the money is.

IBX should introduce themselves to the Center for Adaptable MRI Technology at the University of Basel. A great marketing opportunity for a follow up article.
