I think it is so easy to short ( with less than 10 % deposit) on various trading pltforms, that many - not me - holders who plan to be in for long run , just click in some short trades (constantly) when there is a spike. Historically we have continued to come of th e spikes and they are making a killing whilst probably never adjusting,, maybe using profits to increase their main holding. Just my takje on much of the short trades.. Good luck
