Every 1c drop from 90cents adds $18m to the bottom line, so yes, QBE's FY08 profit will be strong.
One important note is the forecasting for the $A for 2009. Some analysts have it at low to mid 50's.
The downside is that any overseas acquisitions, particularly in the US may be out of their reach.
But, QBE have a knack of picking up cheap bolt-on acquisitions and making them work.
