well maybe basic maths says 40t trucks ( actually 37t) that can operate only in daylight hours, (and often there can/will be a limit to the number of loads per day since it is a public road passing many houses, a few towns?? etc etc), means for the 1.6mt deposit that there will be required 40,000 truck loads to the port assumming no losses which isnt accurate, but it gives u a sense of how many trucks need to go up and back on those roads.
ship i think they said is a 45,000t carrier - so that is 1125 loads - maybe 20 a day - 50 days for a shipment?? - so to move the whole 1.6mt in 2 yrs means a whole mre tonnes moved or DSO means the actual losses in fines etc etc is large???
locals will be pissed and local Gov surely will not allow 50 -100 trips a day - 7 days a week?? - untenable and the local roads just cannot handle that amount of trucks - they will break up real quick.
it seems they must have the permits to do this but i find the maths a bit odd - could be way off here
main reason i am in VMS is the WA exploration - i am not entirely sure of this iron ore play???
