Bechtel have a large employee base, similar to Rio Tinto which is amazing considering most work is project based with limited life span being construction. They are good at what they do and were great to work for.

They are very much a global company and very well positioned globally. Do yourself a favor one day and look/google the varying construction jobs they have completed, the history etc. The systems, processes are very much American (including the life insurance and what concerns Americans)

Bechtel are often EPCM it's also worth googling that aswell if you are unsure and the family business history. Ultimately they oversee contracts and contract work for a client and ensure detail is met per contract and time managed.

I would work for them again happily, the last job was a little hard due to time away from home and I had a 24-26 hour commute with multiple buses, planes and a ferry but they paid well.

It's also worth while checking out brick and mortar ventures as a capital fund. I'll give you a hint from the article "proof of concept pilots" which matches nicely with what fbr have been saying.

I don't think it's coincidence he is connected to FBR.
