I hold both DOM and MCO in equal weight in my portfolio. I believe I will make 10 times more money out of MCO than DOM.
Its just the power of leverage. When I take up my new options my leverage doubles. A real gift that rights issue
DOM trades at a very high premium and MCO a huge discount. At some stage DOM will lag in growth and MCO will accelerate. That may not be for 18 months. I'm happy to wait. They are both great stocks to hold.
You only have to look at the deal CGT did a few months ago on a farm in to one of its prospects to get a idea of the MCO discount . Go to the CGT thread and you will see goldbars and robert discussing that deal.
Based on that deal I believe NG could sell MCO for over $40million as is. Which is around 30c a share. The reason has been discussed here many times, Of course he cant sell it if vultures circle . By the end of january MCO will have around $2mllion in the till and the big players will know the games up and NG is going to keep on drilling and developing and someone will end up paying a very high price if they want MCO assets
Just like every boom towards the end the ambitious get fried by paying over the top for assets at the peak. Hello RIO.
Same thing will happen in this gold bull. In a couple of years huge prices will be paid for juniors with big resource bases and exploration upside. MCO is one such candidate for mind blowing outperformance long term, CGT is another.
