888 - I must admit I do admire the balanced and compromising fashion within which you provide your arguments, despite less considered submissions, however I must offer my reservations on the governments stimulus package......I feel that the package was ill conceived and represents more reasoning behind their poll position than their ability to govern (which must also be coupled with the oppostions inability to offer an attractive alternative)...throwing money at a problem is a labor mantra, history supports this description...however in these times I feel it would have been more appropriate to pursue State governmental accountability, exploring reasons why, despite the federal governments wealth of riches and ability to competently weather the current international, State governments are broke and struggling.....for instance certain commentators point to the mining industry as the reasons behind Australia's current financial position, whilst failing to appropriatly recognise the financial administration of the previous government....if this was the case why, for instance, is Queensland financially struggling despite earning hundred of millions of dollars in previously unavailable royalties....the fact is that people whom have had previous dealings with a federal Labor government and are familiar with their financial competency should quite rightly question their actions......
