IMO, unlike the USA who has the global reserve currency, Australia will likely experience rampant inflation if ir continues printing AUDs
Our currency is very dependant of external influences because unlike the USD, central banks and institutions dont hoard AUDs.
So, IMO, we are more akin to Argentina, and others who have willy-nilly printed currency and subsequently knocked the ass out of that currency'd international value.
With the prospect of a protracted recession, a significant devaluation of the AUD could trap us in a decade of stagflation like what happened to Japan in the late 80s/90s.
If China can manage to debunk the USD as the global reserve currency, the USA will also likely be struck with stagflation, IMO.
