It's very likely the Group will be taken over by one of those mentioned. Not only will they get a company which has now sorted out a lot of their issues, but they will get a bucket load of cash to go with it, $3.413 Billion.
The buffer is interesting, I would suggest this is to pay off the Remediation or any Class Actions that may succeed. So there should be no worries about cash for a while. Who knows, as was the case with IOOF, some of their Class Actions were dropped, this may even yet occur with AMP.
So interesting days ahead of us. Personally I hope that the share price gets above $2 before there is any takeover, at the moment it is too low. $2 with a 50% premium added on would be good for starters.
