"Airports around the world faced the same problem don't you think?"
No I don't.
Most of the world is muddling through because of either late or poor response, or because the simply could not gain compliance to lock down.
Being islands, Australia and NZ can easily shut international boarder completely.
Now we are starting to see other nations gain herd immunity and so they will be able to start movement between them.
So let me ask you this....as long as C-19 exists anywhere in the world, how will we reopen our boarders without risking going through this all over again?
Hotel room isolation just isn't feasible on mass.
So we stay isolated from the rest of the world.....until the virus is eliminated globally?
I don't know myself. But my read on the situation is our boarders will remain closed for some time yet.
