sorry it's been a while getting back, but you are right, it was a big read. I got a bit out of it, and one thing that stands out is I think all those rocks under there seem as though they have been placed in one giant washing machine and set to a long cycle running 400 million years.....no wonder they are all wrinkled under there.

I seem to recall you talking about water management from the big dam up there. I know an old Snowy engineer who says something simiiar about the Snowy flows............. all these dams must be run by the PC brigade, and not the old timers with common sense.

And you were mentioning the mining geos knowing about the underground aquafers.............well, methinks the less they talk about them the better. i know a chappie who was irrigating from a bore above an underground coal mine. The bore ran dry as subsidence must have diverted the aquafer. Anyway, to the companies credit, they rebored the well deeper, got a trickle flow, installed a huge concrete tank so that the constant trickle could keep it charged allowing irrigation to continue all at the companies expense. So aquafers are disturbed during mining and the less said the better methinks............don't want the greenies involved in that!
