They have logged the cave size depth etc using Lidar There was a Doco on it they even filmed a anomaly at a high point that didn't make sense .Turns out it was the high point in cave where the ppl trapped thought that they might not be to far from the surface and tried digging upwards . If I recall correctly they had over a klm to dig Amazing tool used to see thru jungle canopy to find lost cities / forensics/ Ancient strutures and so on
