How to describe the mysterious behaviour of CGFs share price?
In a time of instant information and rumoured numbers that turned out to be on the money i expected the market to have factored in all the negatives prior to the CR . Big money was invested on the advice of GS and MB who would have briefed their clients where CGF was now and moving forward.
On that advice the CR was oversubscribed and so was the SPP to everyone's surprise. Yet the SP still kept dipping up till the full year results. In any other blue chip once a share gets hammered and poor results get released the SP tends to rally but not this time.
The week before the full year report there were 300k of shorted shares as reported by ASX the day the results were released it increased to 3 million. The share continued to tank and still does 6 trading sessions later. Some are saying their guidance is too optimistic and is off by around 30%. Fair enough but again the smart money would have known this which makes me wonder is this being set up for a T/O.
What do i know but can you imagine the whales in Tokyo calling their broker who adivised them to buy into the CR what are they being told?
