PMSL I just read BWJ's post. Hang on, let me get this straight!! The guy has no experience in these matters. He's read a article 30 years ago and can remember every little detail??? PMSL the guy has googled the info, relayed it here and trying make himself as someone with photographic memory or something like that.

Not going to go into much detail but I can assure yourself BWJ my matey the Warman propeller pumps on site aren't laser aligned. lol most are just basic Warman pumps with the motor drive set-up. Hardly need to laser align them. Straight edge suffice!
The 2 biggest ones on site(Ball mill feed/Sag mill discharge) have a shaft coupling setup that attaches the gear box drive to the Warman pump shaft. That wasn't even laser aligned. I know because I was working around that area at the time they were aligning it, I was installing supports for the hydraulic guys. For the hydraulic lines going to the gate valves that isolate the product sitting in the SAG discharge hopper.
