Alejandro, yes I can't agree more. The market is highly irrational at the moment and is not reflecting sound economic logic. These markets are being fuelled by speculators and the injection of trillions of dollars of borrowed funds by governments of the world. Bored people sitting at home playing the stock market equivalent to the pokies.

The music will and must stop in the coming months or year as it is impossible for governments of the world to keep artificially pumping up their economies with handouts. If they continue on this path it will result in hyper inflation and the collapse of many countries economies. Australia is one of the luckier countries although our debt is fast becoming a multi decade legacy for future generations.

On ATS sure you may get some trading opportunities as it bounces between 2-4 cents however logic must apply at some stage. They have limited cash, falling hedging positions and diminishing production. Little positive outlook for world oil prices in the midterm. Remember companies like ATS need at least US$50+ a barrel to make any profit at all. Don't forget they have yet to master their ability to extract the oil! Holding leases also cost money.

Remember this is a USA based resource, run and owned by Australians who are stranded in Australia at the moment (mostly burning off accumulated annual leave). It is very difficult to find capital or sell the merits of a deal to a prospective joint venture partner when you can't leave your country to negotiate face to face around the world.

Sure have a punt on this stock if you can afford to lose some money. There may be enough speculators/gamblers out there over the next year to give the share price a little nudge along the way, but their and your investment will not be based on any economic logic other than a pure punt on the oil price rising significantly and gambling appetite of others.

In saying that ATS should be worth something. The resource is proven albeit very difficult to extract economically and reliably. The land has had over a billion dollars pumped into over the past decade. OIL PRICE IS THE KEY! Good luck people.

Give some thought to those believers that were in ATS at 20-45 cents only 12-18 months ago after a valuation of $1ish from the supporting broker.

I guess the world was a different place then.
