So your point is fair. That if you fail to produce results and take a high pay package that people will complain no matter what. I take that. Best practice here is to make sales then get loans and not dilute. If you do not make sales then you are forced into these tough spots.
Regal, Eagle's View, Brian Hearing, and I think John Franklin all took really big hits on this as did guys like Snowtown. Smart money and founders left. Why do you think? When do you not blame Oleg? Who is to blame if not the CEO? It is a tough business but at the end of the day you either succeeded or you fail. No one is saying he is a bad guy or not smart. But has he succeeded? Many anti drone companies have succeeded and DRO is not even close so far.
If you wanted to hold MGT accountable for what they call high conviction
BT producing $5-10m by now
Euro Police ordering $1m a quarter with sales starting in June
10 other high conviction deals that have not happened
Bosch, Thales, Airport Association, etc. have all produced no material sales. In fact the major Euro airports were won by others.
Saudi deal has not happened despite his very high conviction of it happening last year
You can give a guy a pass on a few. But either he is not or his judgment is poor. You really have to pick one.
Now you could argue that no one has been winning in the Anti Drone space. That simply is not true. Hundreds of Millions are awarded. Just not to DRO. The first mover's advantage is solidly gone and DRO is now nearly identical to dozens of other players in the middle of the stack. From where I sit DRO might sell a bit in AU or NZ with the local advantage but it has already lost enough ground that it is really a none threat. The market is big, but it is unlikely that DRO will win it.
Take a look at these other competitors with similar products. DRO doesn't even come up on first page when you google airport anti drone. There are so many options.
