To be fair to him, I, too, think he's just executing the communications policy he's been told to run. In days of old when they last had dedicated IR guys it was the same deal. The investor presentation update which came out with the last 4C actually flowed reasonably well in my view and gave a decent summary of current projects, so they have got better in some regards. What it lacked, for me, was any sense of detail, urgency or comfort that delays/execution problems from the past are indeed issues of the past. So it was good in a meta sense, but lacking in the spice or spark which might get new investors excited.

I agree it's unfathomable as to why the don't engage more effectively and productively with brokers, instos and indeed shareholders. There's a brilliant story there, but the company seems to have a deep seated fear of engaging openly and fully with the outside world.
