I too think there is more to L259, not being totally satisfied with the initial findings. This is my theory - geomorphologically, similar to a kimberlite explosive event, are we not dealing with a Caldera - the remnants of an extremely explosive event where even the crater facies had little chance to develop. When one looks at the many calderas worldwide, they are largely reflected as lakes, with little /no development of "near surface" volcano sediments around/ within the crater/caldera. Are we not dealing with a final cataclysmic event, where the last explosive event left an "Exhausted" deep hole, where even the crater has been blown away? The surrounding debris - rock types may provide some clue. In the case of L259 did they not find remnants of Kimberlite in ore from surrounding Blocks 6 and 8? I just think a little more investigation may provide a few concrete answers - very happy to be corrected
Having said that I'm still positive LOM will find the Mother load.
Good luck to All
