So probably what we want then are technical charts of the index as a whole... where does it look overbought relative to the current bottom?

Also - if gold stocks are tracking the market - then we want to keep abreast of data points and when they're likely to come in - I'm talking about US manufacturing data, jobs, etc... when do the big figures come in and where can we easily track the dates? Because those are the things which the market seems to be tracking at the moment.

Currently things are going up largely because of the positive view of the obama stimulus - obviously this is going to wane at some point - but when?
