The only one I can see making some real headway is POSCO down at Hombre Muerto, as they build their pilot plant and associated ponds. BUT - they also have a relatively open chequebook so money isn't a hurdle for them. They seem to have about 30ha of ponds cooking at the moment:
Plus it's all internal, so we probably won't hear much about their progress/success (or otherwise) as they progress through much of what we already have.
No other juniors/newbies anywhere close to us afaik - despite the claims of scalability from their bathtub tests etc.! LOL
I do recall Jerko actually stating in an interview that if anyone has any brilliant suggestions re funding etc then they should feel free to get in touch (instead of simply complaining) - go nuts!
