    First off NTTG I am not trying to promote anything


    and yes if this decline in people signing up to build new homes had only occured in the last say 6 months, then your point would be valid

    However these figures have been in decline for a long time prior to the problems of the financial crisis hitting.

    So why were the numbers of people buying new homes in decline back before the current problems even though there was supposed to be an underlying demand.

    And if this demand does really exist, were are these people living right now? Yes rental markets in some areas may be tight but there is still some supply.

    We have been hearing of this underlying demand for a couple of years at least during the same period the rate of new homes being built is falling, where are all these people who are waiting to buy living????
