    What's more, since the passing of the worst in Sweden, the monthly death rate since 1 July is running at almost 590 FEWER deaths, compared to the average of the same periods in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

    This proves that all that has happened is that - consistent with the average age of people dying of Covid was already at, or above normal life expectancy - a number of deaths that would have occurred due to natural causes anyway, were brought forward by a few months.

    In fact, if the trend of the past 8 weeks, being significantly lower daily deaths vs previous years, continues for several few more weeks, the difference in total deaths in Sweden for 2020 compared to previous years, will be statistically insignificant.
