Been wondering about the practicality of air ambulancing to the Sydney hospitals from Melbourne - there are air ambulance services.https://www.medicalair.com.au/air-ambulance/
I wonder if Killian has checked them out ? Or delegated someone else to check them out for him? Seems like making some phone calls might be all that's required to get some prices and feasibilities on air ambulancing Covid patients.
From the standpoint of "standard of care" it would probably be preferable (statistically comparable) to have your 24 patients (12 treatment group, 12 control) in the same hospital (if its not the same hospital and you've only 24 patients - statistically how do you are its a common "standard of care"(?) if you can get them there.
A commercial flight from Melbourne to Sydney takes around an hour from memory (but I've never travelled on small plane or jet over that route). If you can get an ICU on a plane (that may involve some customisation of the interior of the plane or helicopter (if there is a helicopter landing at Westmead)- but that an engineering exercise that shouldn't be impossibly difficult - plastic lining, hazmat suits, deep cleaning etc) or helicopter you can then advise that that service is available to 24 patients VIP that meet the other criteria perhaps?
I want to see CYP action on this MEND trial. CYP shareholders like MSB shareholders are interested in details - if Killian talks about the logistics of getting 24 patients CYP shareholders will be interested and are open to being educated and we will know they are working the problem. In my opinion.
