To entitle claim for 20 cents franking credit, investors (either share or warrant) must hold it for 45 days or more. Otherwise, no tax franking credit is allowed. Most investors and institutions start to hedge and average their holding for this period in order to maximise its benefit. Hedge funds will make most of it I believe.
