It would be clever politically to have a double dissolution and full federal election as soon as possible misty as there would be a landslide to the government and the coalition would be almost completely wiped out. However the coalition know this and are carefully avoiding providing the government with any excuse for an early election. So if the current circumstances persist, and there is every reason to think they will given what a directionless rabble the coalition is, then the government will likely run it's full term. Labor will easily win the next election whenever it is held and that should see a lot of the dead wood exit the Liberal/National parties who in about five years time will probably become a coherant force again.
