Publicly listed companies can't really pick and choose these announcements due to continuous disclosure rules.
ROTFL. Announcements are released at a convenient time whenever possible. The bad news is leaked after closing and the good news is saved for emergencies. Recently EDE just happened to announce a $48 million 'deal' when they had a CR shortfall and increased the mortgage on their properties.
