just remember that the share market is a leading indicator to the global financial system. Generally speaking the lead (over the last 50 years) has tended to be 12-18months. i.e the market will actually start to turn around 12-18month prior to the full recovery in the financial system/ economy. This was evident with the market taking a hit almost 12 months back - and look where we are now. Essentially, despite what you are conveying much of the negative news about unemployment, credit markets, geopolitical movements and consumer sentiment is already a known fact. Nothing will shock the market - look at the facts we are 40%+ off our All Ord highs. Id suggest that we all look back at our old economics books 101 to understand the meaning of peaks and troughs... Clearly we have been in a 'trough' which has bottomed - will you be one of those in years to come saying "i wish i had bought cer then when it was 12-15c"? I'll let you be the judge.
