I see this as strategic. The way the world is going atm, purchasing locally made may be the only options with trade wars etc. Yes it has risks but what doesn't in business. I don't feel management would move a certain direction without doing do diligence.
Everywhere you look here in Aus its all about buying local/ Australian owned. Why would the Chinese government not be aiming to build the damaged Chinese brands back up. I'm sorry but there won't be a white flag flown and companies saying "oh the locals only trust aus brands, lets give up" there is always a possibility of a shift in thinking. Yes it takes work but with hard work comes rewards.
That's not to mention the inroads this could have for a SAMR approval.
Finally there are always negatives and positives, I personally choose to lean the way of the positives. That's my 2 cents worth.
