We are different to all other brain structures and creatures and exceed brain capacity need by many multiples, as you kind of say. Of course, that is simply not true.

In both people and cats, the brain is composed of gray and white matter. Just like humans, cats have temporal, occipital, frontal and parietal lobes of their cerebral cortex. Each region is connected in the same way.
Cats seem to think in the same pattern as humans too, partly owing to the similarity of neurotransmitters, which are used in conveying data. Cats receive input from the basic five senses and process that data just as humans do.
Like us, cats have short- and long-term memory function. Did you know that cats can remember events that happened up to 16 hours before? (And to think that sometimes I can’t even recall something that happened three hours ago!)---------------------------
In comparing animals with humans, we often consider the smartest humans, for example, those that do calculus and understand physics, but only a fraction of humanity can do these things. Just about all cats can survive on their own in the wilderness and find their way home from a strange location. Most humans couldn't even do this.
And to remove all doubt, as anybody with a cat in the house will tell you, the cat is the boss and we are the servants.

We seem to have transgressed the bounds one might expect from evolution alone. Is this the human spirit in action? I hope that this is not our arrogance rather than our human spirit in action.
Other than this the human spirit is destroying the very environment that we rely on for our existence, just visit a location where binge drinking takes place to observe how humans transgress the bounds expected from evolution alone. Not just benign catnip but other body and spirit destroying drugs as well.
