Have worked on minesites .
Seen miners , t/a's , mill operators , storemen ,geo assistants , lab prep etc etc all trained on site .
Sure you need shift supers, lab tech's , sparkies ,mechanics etc and if they are hard to get it's just a matter of how much you need to pay to lure them .
Also the hard border not that hard and people come in every day if a good reason and a job will get them in from other states even if they need to do some quarantine .
Then there are the professionals which uni's supply .
Companies always try and employ experienced people and for as long as I can rememeber it has always been the same old whinge .
Really not the big deal it's made out IMO.
