I agree with newtothegame........a shark attack makes front page but the 100th car accident is somewhere on page 5.
Of course we don't hunt down all P-plate drivers, but all sharks need to die (sarcasm).
Hey, newsflash...the ocean is dangerous but much less so than the road. I'll never stop swimming but need to accept the risk. I'll gladly jump into my car every day so why not the ocean.
That sharks are in the ocean is hardly shocking news. They don't attack anyone in their bedroom and I haven't seen one in the park yet.
My unwritten rule is to never be the person furthest out. I always make sure someone else or a group is in deeper water. I also don't want to surf.
Swim between the flags and stay safe. You'll be fine.
