    I agree with you that we are more likely to be injured or die on the road, than we are in the sea. I also agree that swimmers can risk assess and reduce their chances of a shark attack. I have also been told, not to swim at dusk or dawn as sharks often feed then. A lot of surfers I know look for 'signs' before heading into the water as part of there risk assessment.
