Fair point....if you don't want to take the car you can walk...if it's 30 below outside, it will be warmer inside but and you will still be mighty cold...you can put on extra clothing or go and stay with someone who can afford heating. The American social welfare system provides vouchers for utilities so if the consumers can't afford...the guv'ment will provide. Either way...gas will be consumed and is a vital necessity of life (survival) in the extreme conditions. Maybe I'm wrong.....but then again ...maybe I'm right too ???
