I think you missed the point of their coverage, they were interested in the fact that the company made misleading announcements. That was the story. It was about examining all the hype surrounding the company in more detail and seeing if there was substance behind it.
Let's remember that the company raised $75m based on a single deal with a single company that was supposed to generate serious revenue. The FIL analyst who greenlighted the investment said as much. Since then, that deal hasn't produced a single dime and all the cash has been spent on propping up acquisitions and being burned elsewhere.
That is newsworthy. If the AFR didn't print it, holders would have found out another way. You guys need to stop blaming the journos for revealing what was blatantly obvious. This information would have made its way out one way or another.
