Totally agree 21391401, The wording of that paragraph just did not sound right to me. You can of course read things into other peoples words, especially if you are searching for hidden meanings which suit what you want to hear. But one way of reading it could be that they realise that further testing on different cells from various people MAY be required but that they will pursue the FORMALISED CLINICAL STUDIES which would follow such in vitro and ex vivo tests. i.e. the discussions they are having are with groups which will help decide if these tests are really necessary or IF they can go straight to the clinical studies? Otherwise why use the word "may"? All the tests they have done to date seem to be knocking the ball out of the park but then they temper the results by saying that these results may not actually work the same in the human body and that they need to do the tests again to see if the first time was just a fluke (and even if it comes up aces again, still doesn't mean it works the same way in the human body!)..........Sooner or later they'll need to get a volunteer to try the stuff. They're queueing up to test the various vaccines around the world. Given the choice I'd much rather test the MPL over having some dodgy concoction INJECTED into me. MPL has had rafts of tests done on it over the decades, seems to me risks are low for a short term trial. Hope the doctors agree and all IMO.
