I think you'll find the book you reference refers specifically to dependable flags and pennants interchangeably, as per the first line of your quoted passage. Further, the book suggests not relying on longer term flags/pennants but says if other indicators align then it is still possible. 5 weeks it an arbitrary example referred to in the book. Good charts BTW. Would you recommend any other books please?
