    Hi,

Yesterday, a leading article about Andrew Forrest and FMG, from the Australian Financial Review, contained some interesting quotes.

With relation to TAS, the most important quote was:

"Fortescue has said it wants to increase its exposure to battery metals, which would put copper on its radar"

IMVHO, this is most certainly the reason why Fortescue (FMG) is looking for a major copper deposit with TAS at Vulcan.

It also clealy indicates that FMG expect a major uptick in the demand for electric vehicles. Which could also see a significant increase in the cobalt price, which is something Conico (CNJ) sorely needs if they want to proceed further with their "Cobalt/Nickel" JV project with Barra (BAR) at Mt Thirsty. As you probably all know, TAS has a 13% shareholding in CNJ.

Here is a link to the entire AFR article titled "Andrew Forrest leaves Australia on PNG asset hunt":

    Cheers.
